DVC - UPH Questions...

Does anyone know the DVC pricing for a UPH (adult & child both) for 5 through 8 night stays or know where to find this information online?

I have seen in some posts lately that you can drop the first and last days from the UPH... Does anyone know if you can drop the first 2 days as opposed to first & last?

The resort is usually good about allowing DVC members to drop first and last days of the pass, but the purpose of that is to accommodate those with late arrivals and early departures.

It's unlikely they would allow anyone to drop other days from the pass.

I guess I need to call MS in regards to UPH's as I have an annual pass for myself but am looking for passes for 6 guests (who would like UPH's) who will be traveling with me in January to OKW. But, I noticed on the link you provided that it states "They must be purchased by ALL members in your party", so maybe they won't be getting UPH's as I have no need for one being an annual pass holder... Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

I will ask about dropping the first two nights as well and report back their answers to both questions for anyone who is interested...

Sorry to grumble, but have you noticed that the 10% discount is no better than the discount that ANYBODY could receive (using cash ressies) by buying their UPH's in advance?

I was just researching buying these passes myself and have called and asked MS about this. Seems that DVC discounts are again no real bargain.

The advance purchase pricing is NOT as good as the 10% DVC discount (It is in the 5-6% range). In addition, the advance UPH cannot be purchased theu MS for point based reservations. UPH for DVC point reservations may only be purchased at the resort.

If any members of the party already have admission media, they will NOT have to purchase the UPH. This is another difference in what is allowed thru the DVC discount.

Sorry to pick at nits, but the UPH I am looking at is for 3 nights...the discount with advanced purchase is 9.2 or 9.4% (I forget what I calculated). Pretty darn close.

I know there are differences in how you buy them, but it doesn't really matter to our situation.

I am not trying to pick on you - just picking on Disney for what I see is a lack of perks for DVC members.

Sure wish we would see something that is more substantial in the future...
