DVC Transfer Point Question

I have a question regarding having points trasferred from another member into your account. When points are transferred, do the year-end month and the booking window go along with the points? An example: If I own at BWV and I have points transferred from someone from BCV, can I still use these points for a stay at BWV and book 11 months out. Would I have to use these points before the original owner's yearend, or would my December year end apply?

It should be it's not. DVC computers cannot track a different use year and home resort within one account. I've not heard of much way around this.

I called and ask the DVC member reservationist, said I was an OKW memeber and wanted to give points to WVC member, and
was told that they do track the home resort of where the points come from....

Maybe they were just saying this to discourage, but CM reservationist seemed very positive.....???

I'd like to know if anyone has recently done this.

You may want to call back and talk with a supervisor. There have been many reports of people losing a few months and the home resort priority on transferred points. I know they're supposed to be able to do this but so far I haven't heard of much success getting them to do it right.
