I read somewhere that if you do the DVC tour on property you get a gift card plus 3 fast passes does anyone anything about this. I have read someone once wrote that they did the call in tour and got something as well and then so much time had past and they were able to do the tour on property and get the gift card. I am curious about DVC but time is time while at Disney and not sure if it is worth it for me to go?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Do a google search for any "general public" tour offers. Visit the DVC website too. Sometimes the generous offers are targeted and are either mailed or emailed to the prospective customer.

I have a offer on the bottom of "My Itinerary" page in MDE. If I didn't already have multiple bonus FP on my December trip I might be tempted. But then again maybe not. Disney time is precious.

I actually did the virtual tour ($40 gift card) a few months ago and while it's very tempting the fact is as a solo visitor and at my age I don't think it's financially in my benefit to buy DVC.

I wasn't able to find anything doing this...i'm also interested. I have a very brief window during this trip that would work and I've been interested in DVC for years. If the incentive is decent, it will certainly put me over the line to do it...

Just an FYI. Most of the CM initiated bonus FP are not good for Frozen in Epcot or either of the two rides in Pandora at Animal Kingdom.

Ours was 2 years ago and we got 3 FP and a 50.00 gift card. We were there 3 hours so if we weren't for sure buying I don't know that I'd have been happy with how long it took.
The last hour was us doing all the paperwork for the buy in but the first 2 were touring and listening to the spiel.

The standard is usually 3 FP+ (with restrictions) and some ice cream. Gift card incentives can vary y season and don't seem to attach to pre-booked tours often.

How late do they do the tour? I dont want to waste anytime during my park days but wouldnt mind doing this when I get in the day we fly in

The whole point of the 3 FP+ is to make up for lost park time.

The tour options are Morning, Late Morning, and Afternoon.

We were already DVC members last Oct when we did an add-on tour, and we received 3FP for everyone in our group (including our friends who are not DVC members who were staying in our Grand Villa). The only reason we did it was the kids were swimming and we were waiting for our room to be ready. We did end up adding on, so it was definitely worth it for us, lol.

As others said, the typical offer is 3FP, but they are not good for the newest rides. You also get ice cream after the tour (and they have snacks out before the tour). It is really neat to see the mock-ups of the rooms as well. But if you really have no intention of considering DVC, I wouldn't spend my time doing it.

I did both - this year.

Early spring I did phone presentation and got 3 FPs for up to a certain number of people party (we were 2 so that didn’t apply).

We did as instructed and went to DVC kiosk to get them attached to tickets when we got to parks. We were talking to CM and he said you know it’s been over 3 months (I believe) you can do on-site presentation and get a gift card and 3 more FPs so I said yes- he looked at my 20 year old and said the Mouse can afford this and you can do and get gift card and FPs too.

We did Polynesian presentation- they picked us up at Epcot- took us to Polynesian. Presentation about an hour then took us to Hollywood Studios. Overall with travel times about 1.5-2 hours. It was August and hot so a nice break.

In the end we got 9 FPs (each) and $200 (total) in gift cards. The FPs had certain exclusions on rides.

Glad you got a sweet deal. The last time I approached a kiosk in the parks I was only offered 3 FPs.

We did one last month. We were approached by a CM at WL who invited us on the tour. They drove us to Disney Springs where we sat in an office with a DVC rep and listened to the spiel etc. We did end up buying so we were there for about 3 hours altogether with the last hour bring paperwork. We got a $50 gift card and also 3 fastpasses each for any ride except Frozen and Pandora rides.

So.........
I have a stay booked at Pop Century in April 2018.
Today I got a multifolded card/letter from DVC offering 25 bucks if I take a phone tour. The stay at Pop is what prompted the marketing people to send this offer to me.
I'll be doing the phone tour soon. I can certainly use the 25 bucks to spend on my trip!

Update 90 minutes later: I was on the phone with the DVC people for 12 minutes. My 25 dollar gift card should arrive in 30 days.

We booked a DVC tour when we were there in August/September and were told that because we booked more than 24 hours ahead of time we would get the fast passes (3 each for the 5 of us) and $100 gift card! and that is exactly what we got. I had wanted the tour anyway so it was all just gravy!

update.............
My 25 dollar gift card arrived a couple of days ago.
Yesterday I got another multifold post card sized letter that is offering me 50 dollars if I actually attend an "open house". If I have the time I might do it, but since I already have a full schedule, I am not sure I want to fit it in during my upcoming stay.
