DVC Tour ??

Where exactly do you go to take the tour?? And I can bring the kids right?

Are BLT and AK the only ones they will offer?

If you sign up for a tour, the DVC van will pick you up when and where you ask them to, and take you to the Preview Center on the Saratoga Springs property.

They will also take you to wherever you ask them to (On Disney property) when you are finished.

I am not positive, but I believe they are only selling AKV and BLT, but maybe they still have some SSR?

You do not take a tour of the actual resort. You are taken over to the mock up room display over at the SSR. These are full size rooms that you can walk through. When I visited a year ago it was just AKV rooms and there was a studio and a 1 bedroom combo so essentially you were viewing a studio, and 1bedroom and a 2 bedroom. I think there are rooms for AKV and BLT there now, but I am not sure.
People had their children with them at the center, but I do not recall if they went on the walk through or if they had activities for the children.

OK, so we have an off day and will be switching to POR that morning, can I just hop over to SSR or would I need to set up a specific time?

I guess I could call the day before and have a better idea of time.

definitely call or stop at a kiosk ahead of time. they will be happy to pick you up.

They also a room at BLT on the first floor. I'm not positive what the hours are.

If you are already a DVC member, you do not have to make an appointment (2-4 pm).
If you are not a DVC member, I believe you need to make an appointment to see it.

SSR, AKV, BLT, and GCV are not sold out so Disney is actively selling them. You can go to DVCNews.com to see what the current incentives are. On Oct 4, the base price for BLT is supposed to be increasing to $120/pt.

Even though they *may* tell you otherwise, you can choose ANY of the DVC resorts as your home. The best place to get the "sold out" resorts is the resale market, but you can buy direct from DVC as well. You may have to be on a waiting list and you will not be eligible for any incentives if you choose to buy a sold out resort directly from DVC.
