DVC ticket offer- 2 free days.

I purchased the ticket offer for our May trip this week. (Lucky me only had to dial 6 times before being put on hold). I asked her to start them on the second day we arrive, because right now we will be getting there too late to enjoy a park with the current earlier closing park hours.

I was able to purchase 8 days for the price of 6 (one park a day) for my family of 4 adults and 1 child. The total cost after tax was $2450.40

Using the ticketing website, I noticed it was $2780.97 for 8 days and expected to pay $2611.91 for 6 days with that start date, so I was pleasantly surprised with the $150+ additional discount.

So, I called and a dvc rep told me that if one of my kids couldn’t go, that the tickets expire in sept and only someone in exact same trip could use the ticket or otherwise it was not transferable. I thought the value could be applied to another ticket at a later date and was so confused that I didn’t buy tickets after 45 minutes on hold.
cant you apply the value towards ANY ticket even after sept and not just someone on that trip???
I don’t want to risk losing $500 if my son can’t go.

She probsbly meant the ticket promotion has to be used by September. But, if someone doesn’t use it, that $500 you paid is always there. But, it’s not longer a 6 day ticket. It is simply and expired tickey worth $500.

The term non transferable really means that once used, no one else can use it. I just did this with a 2 day ticket we bought last year for one of my friends that was extended until this September. We are not going back until October but another friend and I are going in July. So I just upgraded it, But, the CM said I could have simply let it expire and the value would have been there for thr aOctober ticket,

Just be sure that you keep the information and email for the ticket because once it expires, it will disappear from MDE. They can retrieve but I always make sure I have it just in case.

Will an email eventually show up? My tickets were in my Disney experience approximately an hour after I called, but I don’t have a receipt or anything that I can find. And I don’t see any numbers or anything on them on my Disney experience. So what do I save?

Hmmmm. Did she give you a confirmation number? If not, at least screenshot the ticket if it doesn’t get used.

The ticket should also give you the option to change it up until start date.
