Does Disney ever offer a lower rate than the $100 for Tables in Wonderland for DVC Members? Like a special?

I have no issues paying the $100, but we look to save everywhere we can and so I ask.

On another note, does the one year start the date of purchase or is there an activation date when you first use it?

I can't remember which it was a back in 2012. Either a DVC discount or an AP discount....1 was $100, & the other was $75..

Still at 100 it's a considerable deal, when you know you have a lot of days to use it.

Both times, I got 2 trips out of it, for 15 nights plus, so a significant savings.

Plus you get free valet parking for 3 hours, if you have ADR's for a resort TS restaurant. Also what helped on both trips the 1st time besides the savings from TiW, we also used our Chase Freedom Card, which for both trip had 5% cash back on Restaurants....So all in all it was 25% savings for us.:cool1:

DVC members became eligible for a TIW discount in February 2012 for the price of $100. At the time AP holders were eligible to purchase the TIW card for $75, but that price increased later that year to equal the DVC and Florida resident rate of $100. http://dvcnews.com/index.php/dvc-pr...es-in-wonderland-now-available-to-dvc-members Florida Residents now pay $125.

There has not been a lower discount since that time. BTW, You need to spend $500 gross before you recover the $100 cost of the TIW purchase. DH and I often get 2 - 3 trips on a TIW card.

The card is actually good until the end of the following month of the next year. So if you purchase anytime in April, 2015, it's good until the end of May, 2016.

The $100 for the TiW Card for DVC Members is already a reduced price. The regular price of the TiW Card is $125 which is what FL Residents that are neither DVC or Passholders pay.

Do you purchase the TIW card In Disney or do you purchase through a website?

So it's best to purchase it right before you are about to use it to get the most possible use out of it.

We always purchase it on the first day we are at WDW, you can get it from Guest Relations at DTD or at any of the Guest Relations at the parks. Take your DVC membership card and ID with you.

From the TiW website:
How to Purchase:
  • If you are a Disney Vacation Club Member, visit any Guest Relations location at a Walt Disney World® Theme Park or Downtown Disney® area to purchase your Tables in Wonderland membership. Please present your Photo ID and your DVC Membership Card.
  • If you are a Florida Resident or Annual / Seasonal Passholder, visit any Guest Relations location at a Walt Disney World® Theme Park or Downtown Disney® Area to purchase your Tables in Wonderland membership. Florida Residents and Annual / Seasonal Passholders may also purchase over the phone. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery when purchasing by phone.
If eligible to order by phone and you do, the TiW card will be active when it's mailed.

I always buy one at Guest Relations right before I'm about to use it to get the most out of it. Usually in Epcot since the lines are not too bad and there are plenty of CMs working.

Is there a list of DS restaurants out or coming out soon? And whether they accept or will accept TiW? I suspect the answers are no, and wait and see.

The TIW website keeps itself updated well. I use that.

They only removed Kouzzina and added Trattoria al Forno in the last week or so. I wouldn't categorized that as "well" updated.

I loved TIW until the new changes- I will not be renewing .
Alot of Epcot resteraunts are no longer taking TIW at all or just letting you get the discount at lunch not Dinner. THe Manager at Chef d France told us that that their would be more places dropping out of TIW this year.

I purchased a TIW card on 1/18/2015 at the GR outside MK. My expiration on the card is 2/18/2016.

Which ones stopped taking it? I know some never did but wasn't aware others dropped it
