I am sure Disney would never go to the effort of creating a Multiple Listing Service for DVC contracts, but it would be a nice to have. I would think it could speed up the process of ROFR and provide for better process on the status. It would definitely make it easier for people thinking about purchasing resale to shop different contracts.

It doesn't. That would be promoting the resale market, and I believe Disney is trying to convince people to buy and keep their points. I think they are missing the point that a healthy resale market allows them to continually increase their prices, and vice versa, direct price increases keep supporting increased resale prices. The ability to resell your contract if you fall on hard times would, in my opinion, be a great direct selling feature.
When I purchased my first resale, the minimum buy in direct was 160 pts, but I couldn't afford that. Immediately following my resale closing I contacted DVC to add on direct. At that time (the dark ages) the price per point difference was only $11 per point, so resale was a savings, but not the extreme amount of savings that it is today. I think they have hurt themselves with the new restriction going forward, but time will tell.

There are apps/sites out there that do something like this. The ones I know about are in the DIS filter and may not be discussed here, probably because they shamelessly used the DIS to promote their product without permission.
