Dvc Stay As Gift Please Help

I wanted to give my dad a week stay @ Hilton Head Resort. My question is when I call and make the reservation I know that I can make the reservation in his name,but I don't want DVC to mail him the confermation letter that they send out. I want to wrap the letter and give it to him for xmas. Will DVC mail me the letter?????????

Don't worry. They only mail the reservation confirmation to the owner of the points. Nice idea for a gift.

The confirmation always goes to the member. I've rented from owners twice before becoming a member myself and the confirmation goes to the owner who would send me the original confirmation letter or a copy....

...It's been my experience that they don't even ask for your guest's address.... The confirmation normally says "address to be provided upon arrival" (or something like that) below their name...

....So they wouldn't be able to mail it to them, anyway.
