Hi all,
I wanted to give a heads up to any So Cal people or anyone visiting DLR that if you purchase your DVC ownership there they will give you two premium pass vouchers to either WDW or DLR... that is pretty awesome. I found out when I met with representative there.

Can I call them and add on over the phone, or do I have to be there in person?

No, I did not originally purchase there. Are there restrictions for add-ons if one did not purchase in CA? I would like those ticket perks!
You can still purchase through the DLR office even if your original purchase wasn't with them.

We did this back in June for AKV to get a new UY with the 100 point min. buy in. This also gave us Founding Member status for GCV.

Really? Can you give me a guide's name? Of course, I would use you as a referral! However, I am only purchasing 40 pts! Do you think that would be enough for the free tickets? You can PM me with the info! Also, can you explain what the premium passes are? Annual passes?

I believe the premium annual passes include parking and higher discounts. I sent you a PM with the guides phone #.

I would like to know if we just did an add on at DLR, would we get the APs? Does anyone know...

They usually have a min. point buyin to receive the passes, so I don't know if an add-on would qualify.

At WDW, all annual passes (well, maybe not seasonal) include free parking. Also, the discounts are the same between the regular and premium -premium I believe also included water parks/Disney Quest/PI (which I guess now they'll substitute something else).

We purchased points at DLR when we visited over the Halloween weekend. The onsite deal at that time was two free passes and matching developer points. Our annual passes have not arrived yet, however, we were told that we would receive DLR passes (premium) not WDW. Hopefully our guide was missinformed and we can use them at either location. I'll be sure to update everyone when they arrive (we were told to expect them to arrive in about a month).

When we bought in October, our paperwork says that we will get certificates that can be redeemed for APs at DLR or WDW. The only restriction that I remember was that if you wanted DLR the certificates has to be redeemed within a year or so, while WDW had no expiration date. I think the APs and GCV founding member status are only for new contracts and not add-ons but I could be wrong about that. Only a call to the DLR DVC office can answer that.

We did an 160 pt add on at AKV this summer at DLR. Our original purchase was at WDW. We received a choice of 2 ap's to EITHER DLR or WDW. We chose WDW since we go there more often. We also got the $8 off per point and a $500 visa gift card (from using our Disney Visa to pay) and a matching set of developer points to be used thru II, at SSR, or at DLR within one year. Also, we do have founding member status for GCV. At the time, they told me we had to do paperwork onsite. We ended up finishing up after we returned home since they had a problem finding our August use year and we had to wait until it was available a couple weeks later.

There was a certain number of points to get the ap's. I believe it was the 160 magic number. We do have a number for our guide if anyone needs one. She was really great working with us and very accomodating. Now, if they'd just start selling those gorgeous GCV!!!
Lisa:)

question please. does the add on have to be at the california dvc or can it be wdw villas. that is a wonderful incentive as i buy the aps every year, and mine are due for renewal very soon.:cool1:

Right now it is only for WDW DVC properties because GCV hasn't gone on sale yet.

Just to clarify, you have the choice of 2 premium APs for DLR or two regular APs for WDW.

I purchased AKV at DLR in August. After several calls to my guide, I still haven't received my passes. I'd better get on the phone to QA.
