DVC solution??

I was just thinking about that as a solution as well. Everyone who owns DVC travels to Disney so at least they would receive some values for the lost points.

Not true. Some DVC owners only stay at HHI or VB or Aulani - some don't go to Disney World, but Disneyland.

And while that sounds like a lot of money - Disney's fixed costs on park operations far exceed the revenue stream from 54,000,000 D+ members. Not to mention all the other places they are hemorrhaging money - it costs to shut down movie production for months at a time or let cruise ships sit idle in port.
