sounds like they better have those fastpass terminals ready!! :earboy2:

ITA! :wave2:

I wonder if Caskbill has ever measured the IG>the Land as opposed to the FW turnstiles>the Land. I think those of us at BCV/BWV have a fair chance of making it to the front of the line at opening!

OFFICIAL:

Disney Vacation Club Members may preview the new experience April 15-17, before it opens officially to Guests. Simply show your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card at the attraction's entrance during the previews on these dates.

From the Member Clubhouse that just came to my email. :)

Just read it too. Your answer at last cruesoemom!

I will be checking into BCV on April 17. I better hightail it over to Epcot ASAP!

Just got this in the DVC email newsletter:

Disney Vacation Club Members may preview the new experience April 15-17, before it opens officially to Guests. Simply show your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card at the attraction's entrance during the previews on these dates.

AWESOME ATTRACTION!!!!! We went on this at DL. It is the best. We are going to be at WDW during these dates! I can't wait!

yay! we are there then!!! i wonder if my room key with DVC member on it will be good enough!?!?!?!?

Yay! I'm going to be there for one of these events - I'm not leaving WDW til April 17th so I'll get my chance to ride - I've been on the one at CA so we'll see if it's the same! :earseek:

the email did say Member ID card. This is from this month's DVC member Newsletter.

If you have never been on this ride, you are going to love it!

Kweaver, you just made our day!!!! We're there from the 13th-17th, before boarding the Disney Wonder. I can't tell you how excited I am to get this news and to ride this before the rest of the world!!!! :Pinkbounc

HOORAAYYY!
We arrive the 16th and were planning to go to Epcot on the 17th anyway - now we'll just have to be sure we get there nice and early (although if it's restricted to DVC and AP members, it's probably not going to be super crowded, especially on its last day) Then again, I've always been accused of being overly optimistic :teeth:

Thanks so much for keeping me updated on this one!

I am not a thrill seeker/roller coaster type of gal. Will this ride put me over the edge?????

Soaring is a VERY smooth ride. If you are intensely afraid of heights, it could be disturbing. There is very little actual motion - the inital lift off (which is so smooth, if you close your eyes you may not notice it at all), some tilting (like the action of a recliner), and the return (which is in darkness and again very hard to feel). There is more perceived motion (same effect as being in say the Canada movie).

The golf ball and the fireworks can startle a little bit (my wife hates the golf ball - no physical effect, just the film).

It is a great ride!!! I'd say if you can handle a ferris wheel, you can handle this (and some who can't can still probably handle it too).

April 15 to 17 and no I do not know the time of day it will be open to DVC members

I thought the official opening date was going to be May 5th for the 50th celebration.

That is what I just read today in the paper. I'm glad we didn't plan a trip for earlier than that. The actual Disneyland anniversary date is in July.

I can't urge everyone who is a little scared of this attraction, please don't be. You'll be so happy you got to expereince this wonderful attraction. I can't say enough postive things about SOARIN' !!!!

We are checking into the BCV for two nights on April 14 before we go on our cruise. Talk about good timing.
