DVC show on Travel Channel Sept. 18

On September 18, the Travel Channel will be showing a DVC show, sales must be slow! I plan on watching in hopes of catching a glimpse of our home resort VWL.

Have you tried the online scheduler at DirecTv.com? It (the show) is listed on the website, but I have not used that to control my Tivo, yet. (If you are logged in, and have a supported DVR, you should be able to right-click on the show, and you'll get the recording.)

Yes! Normally it would, but this show won't be so bad. We leave for BWV on the 20th. I'll be packin' and watchin'!

I set up the recording via DirecTV.com yesterday!

Why would that mean that sales are slow? I have seen another poster say that on every thread they post on, but never post any evidence to back it up.

Probably nothing more than the DVD that they give out with the info packet.

Can someone post the name of the show and times so I can search for it? Our tivo isn't pulling it up -- I searched for "Disney" and see other stuff for Disney on that day, but nothing about DVC. I also searched for "DVC" and nothing came up.

I don't think so. The production company was publicly recruiting people to be on the show last spring. They sent out a "casting call" to many Disney websites and taped in early June.

From what I gather, they were looking for specific people to highlight the different options available for point usage. I'd expect to see segments on DCL, Adventures by Disney, Interval trades, VB and/or HHI, etc. The Walt Disney World segments may end up being only a small part of the program, and will probably be limited to AKV since that's the resort du jour.

I'm sure it will be predominately a marketing tool, but the content should at least be new and original.

That is what I understand, too. A poster at another Disney board said they were selected earlier this year, and they were "filmed" on a vacation both on and off-site.

I just love watching the Disney shows on the Travel Channel. We'll be arriving at BCV on 10/17, so this program will be a great trip prelude. I'll have the 30-day-itis bug by then....
