now that is nice to know - but was considering renewing my seasonal pass until Feb instead of Sept - may have to rethink that option. maybe do it on Oct 17 or when they are finished.

It's because it's scheduled to be down for a refurb 7/25/2016 - 10/17/2016. So not open at all during Sept.

We have our reservation for 6 people with an ADR for Jiko beforehand. I was just reading the DIS article about AK possibly going back to a daytime only park. Makes me wonder what the DVC party will be like. It is really too bad the River's of Light and Jungle Book show will most likely not be showing. (Although I heard the Jungle Book show was terrible.) I guess we'll enjoy the Tree of Life projection show, a couple of rides on Everest and strolling around enjoying the atmosphere. I don't think the party will be as good as the Magic Kingdom DVC party this past spring but I'm still excited to check it out.

I will be at the first one. I'm sure a ton of people will be reporting on what happens that night but I will make sure I weigh in. We don't plan on staying too late since there won't be a night show and minimal rides will be open. That is a super late night for the kids. Hoping there is a surprise they are not letting on about. Perhaps a RoL preview.

The Rumors board has a thread talking about Rivers of Light possibly opening this fall. They say the goal is Labor Day. I'm not going to hold my breath, but it would be great if they had it open for the DVC events. It would be a great opportunity for Disney to do some soft opening to test it out on a high affinity group.
