DVC room benefits??

Is there any type of discount on a non-DVC room stay for a DVC member? I thought I remember hearing that you could get a % off but can't seem to find it in my DVC info. We are thinking of going a day early on our Nov trip and would like to just stay at a value for the first night.

DVC members only get discounts on DVC villas and they are not always available. If you have an AP, you might try for an AP rate.

No, there are no DVC cash discounts on other WDW resorts. DVC members can't even use points at Value Resorts - only at Moderate and Deluxe Resorts.

I'd look for an AP discount or other discount for those dates.

Thanks for the quick replies. You pinched me awake from that dream I did checked AP and they have no current weekend discounts and we are looking for a Saturday night. Oh well, the value price isn't too bad. At least better than using points on that day.

If you're not finding discounts, have you considered adding an extra night to your existing reservations using cash through MS or even CRO. It's possible you could get the 25% discount and not have to move though you can only guarantee not moving if you can match the same unit type with MS. Plus even if you didn't have to move with CRO, you wouldn't know for sure but would have to check back in again the next day. There's something to be said for not having to change resorts, even if you have to move units.
