DVC ressie with no tickets

I wonder if i buy a gold Florida resident ap if we can activate it since we are dvc?

That;s exactly what I just said. Starting 6/28, ANY person with existing 2021 reservations can purchase tickets for 2021. DVC or not.

NOBODY (DVC, non-DVC) can purchase tickets for 2020 right now.
not exactly what I said, and not true about 2020 (this summer), new 2020 hotel/ticket reservations can purchase tickets because they are not standalone sales. confirmed this with both DVC guest services and disneyworld.com rep. This is what is upsetting. Not sure where you obtained your info, my info is coming from two official Disney sources

Have you or anyone you know been able to buy new 2020 hotel/ticket packages? I just tried this through MDE and it seems impossible to actually buy a 2020 package right now.

For the date range I tested (Nov 5-11), not a single resort shows available when Package is chosen. Of course, I'm only testing one date.

Or are you saying that your two Disney sources are saying 2020 Packages will start going on sale on the 28th?

Sorry, but this is not true. They are not selling any 2020 trips right now...they are only allowing current people to modify.

This has been confirmed in several places. Here you go. From chat right now,

You can modify your reservation, to add tickets to it, with our Reservations team! Standalone ticket sales are said to be coming out, later in the summer.

So if they are allowing current reservations to modify to add tickets that means they have available tickets to sell. Why would an existing non-DVC reservation without tickets be given an option to add tickets? This option should also be given to DVC reservations. And, YES, I did confirm this with DVC member services also. Another has confirmed the same. Why are you so aggressively trying to make your point??

hi, no. what I was trying to say is that two Disney sources stated that the only way to get tickets at this point is to book a non-DVC room package. I even expressed my disappointment with both reps that DVC members were not able to do the same. They agreed that it seemed unfair to us members. Both were aware that my travel dates are 7/19/20 thru 7/26/20. There is a moderator who disagrees with what I have been told. All I can say is that I spoke to two reps today and they both confirmed the same. The moderator's rep apparently provided her with other info. At this point I don't believe any info that Disney is providing. In fact, I feel that they are doing all of us a disservice by being so unorganized with their execution of this reopening. Not to mention the unreasonable long wait times (1 hour to get through on my last call) to get through to anyone... if you can even get by the busy signal. Good grief!

This very thread exists due to 2020 resort reservation folks who can’t purchase new park tickets. ...AP or otherwise.

later this summer is all we know to date for that issue.

Disney is letting folks with pre existing 2020 park tix, without resort reservations, book park reservations. This is the source of the pain for DVC room only folks.

2021 packages are a different story.

Because you do not have accurate information. That is why.

They are not letting them add tickets...they are letting them modify dates only...but they have to already have had a reservation,

Again, the CM told you something that is not happening because my friend, who is a TA was without tickets and could not get them added.

Read the official Disney site and it says the same. We have shared with you info from chat that says you can not get things for 2020.

Feel free to continue to believe what you want, but it is not true.

Actually, no they are not. No one can book WDW rooms right now.

Disney is also allowing current 2020 ticket holders with resort reservations to modify the number of park days on their tickets.

Numerous reports of it since Monday. Doing it online by “modifying” their reservation.

Now I did read that someone was allowed to add a day but they had tickets already.

Again, based on what is currently happening with the lack of anything selling out except that first week, my gut says within 2 weeks they will be selling..or we will know more about a date.

The difficult part will be anyone traveling mid July without tickets.

this is just as bad as waiting to get through to a Disney rep and just as confusingly inconsistent. Done - good luck all.

We had resv in March (which was cancelled) we bought our 3 AP's but my DGD did not need a ticket as she was only 2. We also have resv for 7 nights in Oct which we were able to make our park reservations. We also have 5 nights in March 2021. Do you think we can buy my DGD's AP on the 28th for the March 2021 trip and also use it for park resv for the trip this Oct? Or will that ticket be restricted use until 2021? It's all so confusing and complicated. I'm just worried that by the time they decide to let us purchase her ticket the parks that we have resv for the rest of us will no longer be available.

This is so frustrating. My DVC points expire on January 31, 2021. I had original reservations for July, but I had to change them due to my husband's job, which will now only let him go in December. We also have a child who attends school, making January out, not that you can get through to DVC anyway. I made the reservations in late May, but did not buy tickets because we had time. Also, no one encouraged me to do so. I am now without tickets, and when I called, they said I had no options, except to wait. They said if we could not get into the parks, then I could only bank my points to be used only for resorts that were NOT at Disney. What?! I bought DVC to enjoy Disney. If I wanted other areas, I would have bought points for other areas. They really should have taken priority for those with resort stays and tickets/AP and then those with just resort stays and no tickets when they assigned this reservation process. Then all others with tickets and AP. I cannot believe they never included us. I have only been with DVC now for 3 years, and I got to say that I do NOT feel the magic! I felt the magic as a regular customer staying in the resorts. When I made regular trip reservations, they would have offered tickets as a part a package, so I would have bought at once and would not be in this predicament. So tickets go on sale for 2021 on the 24th, but the rest of us are still SOL. This is infuriating.

This is what's reassuring me right now - after 4 days of park reservations, Resort Guest availability is wide open after the opening week. Within a couple hours AP park reservations are mostly or completely booked up on days into August. This tells me Disney is taking care of the resort guests in the availability. It's just understandably frustrating not to be able to buy tickets and lock in our dates in this early round. I bet new ticket sales won't be too far off after they get past this first wave of reservations.

I agree..it does seem that there is a difference...and while they didn’t specifically state this...which would have caused those without tickets less stress..they appear to have considered it.

Having said that, if I was someone without tickets keep an eye out daily because once tickets are available, some days may go faster. Especially for the first few weeks.

Where is the best place to watch for 2020 tickets sales to open? Here? And do you think they will announce and give a date when the will open 2020 ticket sales or will it be "2020 tickets sales open today" sort of thing?
