Rent a car without stopping at front desk first?

We come in late to MCO and was wondering if we could rent a car without having to stop at the desk and do paperwork first? Like go right to the vehicle. Does this exist? How does it work? If we used Costco would we have to stop at the desk? What if we did not use Costco? Thanks!

I've personally done it with five companies at MCO. Hertz, National, Enterprise, Avis and Budget. I believe it's also available with Alamo. Reports are hit and miss with Dollar, Payless and Thrifty. With all of them, you have to be a member of their loyalty program, have your profile completely filled out with your DL and CC information. When I used Hertz in January, I could have been from baggage claim to driving off airport property in less than 10 minutes.

I am a Fastbreak member with Budget and never stop at a desk...I go straight to the garage, find my folio on the rack and go to the parking spot indicated. Very easy...and most all major rental companies have this type of service...BUT...

If you are a 'new' member to these programs, you will have to stop at the desk to provide ID/driver's license. After the initial rental under the program, you usually bypass the counter and go straight to your car.
