DVC ressie with no tickets

So we should be able to do it through our MDE on Sunday?!
Yes, the 28th... That's what I was told on a chat before all this started and today on a call.
Edited to add: these are for 2021 tickets. I don’t think a date has yet been set for 2020 ticket sales.

I went ahead and booked a package at Pop with tickets just to be able to get the park reservations that I wanted.

I'm sure it wasn't necessary but it made me feel better to have them. When they finally start to selling AP's I'll add it to my account and cancel the package

We booked Pop too with similar intentions. Wonder if WDW realizes the increase in cash reservations today are not real reservations, just committed guests who are trying not to get left out in the cold.

Take ita step further. We want to go next August - it's outside the 11th. month window. Everyone non DVC can make park reservations now. By the time, it's inside the 11th. month, there may not be any park reservations left. The value of our membership just plummeted!
Did not think of this issue until you pointed it out. Could definitely make it less magical.

I have DVC reservations at SSR for December 2020. Wondering if they will be selling 2020 tickets at all or if I should just give up my trip in December and do something in the Spring. Are all tickets tied to dates now?

Once someone can buy 2021 tickets....which is supposed to be the 28th of June, they can book parks.

You don’t need to wait until you book a DVC reservation because after June 28th, all guests are allowed to book parks.

That means, no resort needed. That was really only for these 4 days. So, in reality, DVC is being kept out of booking trips in 2021...if they don’t have tickets, for 4 extra days.

Interesting...she is the first one i have heard so maybe the earlier reports were because it wasn’t up yet?

It is sad then that DVC can’t do the same. Although, it does seem that DVC owners can just book a package with tickets for the $200 deposit and book parks.

Buy regular tickets in 4 days and link, canceling out packag.r. Shouldn’t have to do it though.

Thanks for reporting. Maybe we will see a change for DVC by end of day?

When you make a park reservation it says something about needing to use the same ticket for entry that you used to make the park ressie...

Any concerns about not being able to get into the park using different tickets on the day of?

I don’t because I have an AP and a 10 day ticket attached to me, my DD had a 6 day and an AP voucher, and her BF had a 4 and 6 day attached to him when I booked the other day,

No where did it tell me to choose a ticket. After we booked, I ended up transferring two of the tickets to a friend who needed them, and she was able to book.

So, honestly, I think if someone has tickets, and the reservation, they will be fine...our parks are still intact.

But, tickets Are rumored to be available in 4 days so unless someone is really worried, it probably isn’t going to be a big deal to wait.

I hope you are right. I called this morning at 7:00 AM because I was told by a CM that people with a resort only reservation would be able to purchase tickets today. The CM I talked to this morning said that there has been no date announce for opening sales for additional tickets in 2020. I am kicking myself for not purchasing tickets for our group. We have 13 people going and this dog-and-pony show is starting to get old.

As far as I know 2021 tickets are available the 28th. I don’t think a date is set for 2020 ticket sales yet. Sorry for the confusion. I edited my previous post. And I hope they announce the 2020 date soon. Good luck!!

Ok guys so I just did a chat and I asked the CM about making another resort reservation and adding the tickets and making the park reservations with the intent of cancelling that resort reservation but keep the tickets and park reservations. He said that won't work and that if you cancel the resort it cancels the tickets. He said we could make a new reservation package and cancel the old DVC reservation but that won't work for us. We are renting points and can't back out. He said they were told by DVC that members would not be allowed to add until the 28th. He said we can contact DVC member services if we have any other questions. Has anyone talked to them? Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? I'd like to talk to them and let them know what I think about this.
