I would never threaten you and I am saddened to think others may have threatened you.

You can edit your posts and threads may be closed but a lot of posts will live on forever because others have quoted your original posts when replying to your remarks.

WOW! This has been some thread!! I still don't think I understand the whole "morphing" thing, but it's been really enlightening.

I must be really ignorant or just not very creative because I bought DVC to take my friends and family on vacation. I feel so fortunate to be able to go to WDW and stay on site, even at the much maligned SSR. I don't request rooms, because all that matters to me is that I'm staying on-site.

Having said that, if commercial renters are making life difficult for other members to get reservations, then I am all for Disney cracking down on them.
I'm fortunate that I can book my trips outside of peak season, but I know that for many members, peak time is all they have. I'm for Disney doing anything that makes it easier for those of us that bought with "pure hearts" to get what we paid for.

I didn't mean for this to be a witch hunt. Please everybody, don't call or email Mush and threaten her. I believe that she deceived us and that what she is doing is wrong but if she has received threats that's not cool. Disney will get her in the end, let's just leave it to them. I'm sure many have reported what has been found out here and I doubt Mush/alwechsler will bother to return here under a new screen name. If she does, we'll be watching.

I totally agree! I must be very naive because it would never have occurred to me to make a business out of renting DVC. Oh well, I guess being simple it's always a bad thing. LOL

Well I certainly have gotten an education from this thread about everything from point morphing and commercial renting to dual board identities.

I looked at the previous posts by smw's board ID here and they've been busy picking up cheap or distressed points for sale since joining this board. They've also been helpful a couple times to the controversial poster from this thread.

This is just so wrong on so many levels.

I also bought DVC for personal use. Silly me.

Even if I rented, I would never be able to, in good conscience, book a peak week and rent it for big $$, knowing someone who owns may have gotten screwed out of that week because of it.

Guess I am just way too worried about other people's feelings.....or I am just an idiot...depends on who you ask.

I did want to say, while I am extremely irritated by mush's deceptions and the obvious commercial renting, I do not think threatening or even taunting or annoying phone calls and emails are the answer. This topic can get so heated, but listen, harassment, for any reason, is NOT going to help.

We do not travel during peak seasons usually, but I am certainly willing to let Disney know that I would like to protect the options of DVC members who do.

I also agree that anyone harassing or threatening someone over this type of thing is VERY wrong and should not be tolerated either.

I agree. I think threats and harassment are totally out of line.
I know some people are upset and I think your anger may be justifiable but threats and/or harassment are not a viable solution.

mushpurple...I am sorry people are calling and harassing you...that was not my intent....that is why I changed your number. But seriously, you should NEVER put personal information on a webpage board!! I get really nervous when I list what TOWN I am in...much less, my phone number. I didn't come to this thread until last night (don't know how I could miss this one), and I found that post, with your phone number in less than 10 minutes.

FWIW, I have a couple of good friends who most everyone here would consider "commercial renters". They are two of the NICEST people you would ever want to meet. They are not disers, and "rent" their points via other methods. However, if they did post here...they are the kind of people who would come right out and TELL you what they are doing....they wouldn't feel a need to hide it.

I really have no problems with renting....but I DO have problems with people pretending to be two different people to use the dis as a "source of advertisement" to increase their business. I guess I must be really naive, but I cannot believe people do this. If you want advertising....see if the dis will let you advertise. I cannot believe the posts where you have answered your own questions!!! People DO advertise their personal businesses on this site. They're just up front when they do it.

I will say what I have always said....people who tell lies on the dis (especially those who do it for profit), need to be VERY good liars. People take their Disney VERY seriously, and truthfully...no one likes to be played.

Mushpurple/alwechsler's actions here on the DIS are unacceptable but I am saddened to read that she is being harassed. I think we just have to be content with the fact that she has been "outed".

By the way, there is also a DIS board member with the ID "swechsler". Perhaps SMW on ebay is swechsler here on the DIS and is her husband or mother or a sibling with whom mushpurple/alwechsler is running her business.

I pity the poor person who joins the DIS at some point in the future who just happens to have the surname wechsler and uses it as part of their DIS boards ID.

Been lurking for a while, had to register after this thread....

Why should anyone believe her NOW? Its clear her account was only created to lie to 1st time renters and shill her properties, so now we should feel sorry when she CLAIMS to receive phone calls at home? She is (they are?) crafty, once the lies are out redirect people's attention and make them feel bad. I'm not buying it, and would bet she hasn't got a single call at home. Liars lie, one of life's simple rules.
