Hi All-

we are planning on taking our two year old in September. He just turned two a few days ago so is subject to the mask rule. We have decided to drive and skip the parks so we don’t have to run into mask issues. We will just spend our time at the pool and day trips to the beach. My concern now though is when we have to enter the resort to go to our room. My son is very headstrong and does not like extra items on his body (sunglasses, hats, etc) so I’m not sure we can get him to wear a mask in the next month. Are there any DVC resorts with exterior room entrances? I think maybe SSR and OKW? Is that correct? Am I forgetting any others (besides bungalows/cabins)?

Stinks, when I booked this trip last year I thought there was no way Covid would still be an issue in Sep 2021 :(

Thanks for your help!

All moderate and value resorts have rooms with doors that open to the outside.

As far as WDW DVC resorts are concerned, SSR and OKW would be the two where you can consistently enter any room from the outside.

First floor rooms at Poly have patios but there's no outside lock. So you cannot exit/enter the room unless you leave it unlocked.
