I read on a facebook group that if you have a delivery sent to your resort, you will be charged $20 per package.

Is this true?

To this date the only hotels that have charged a fee have been the convention hotels. I hope that this hasn't changed. It is $5 I believe

Only convention (BLT is one). We had 2 pks shipped and it's based on their weight. One was 1 lb and other was closer to 15. We paid $10 to pick up both.

At Disney Resorts with a Convention Center, most deliveries are handled by a 3rd party that runs the Business Centers. That company charges a fee for package handling. This applies at the Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk, Contemporary, Coronado Springs & Grand Floridian Resorts. It also applies if there is a DVC Resort co-located at one of those resorts.

Parcel Handling Fees
Handling fee includes receipt of item from carrier, storage for up to 3 days, onetime Guest package delivery or pickup, placing item with carrier for shipment, and tracking. Postage is not included.

  • Envelope: $3.00
  • Small Box: $3.00 (up to 4 lbs)
  • Med Box: $5.00 (5 lbs – 20 lbs)
  • Large Box: $10.00 (21 lbs – 70 lbs)
  • Golf Club: $10.00
  • Display Cases: $15.00
  • Pallets: $70.00 per 100 lbs
Prices are subject to change.

We had an envelope delivered by Fedex to BW in March. I was not charged when I picked it up. Not sure why.

I had a small package shipped to our resort (GFV) and we were not charged.

All changes then! Anytime I've received something at one of the resorts with a convention center I've been charged but it's been 2 years or so since the last time.

I stayed at BLT this past November and had 3 boxes delivered and was not charged. I even asked about it and was told no charge.

Policy & practice are two different things. It's important to know what the policy is in case they do charge you.

We had a 2nd pair of RX sunglasses shipped when 1st broke during trip at BCV about 2 yrs ago and were charged maybe $10. I was annoyed to pay for fed ex overnight and then again to pick up.

we had groceries delivered to BC last June and were not charged a fee..smjj

If they were delivered by a one of the local services, they would come through the front door direct to bell services and not subject to any fee charged by the business center. Packages delivered by FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc. are those that would be subject to a fee.
