Dvc Resort Sell Out Time

can anyone some plesae tell me when each dvc resort opened and how long it took for each dvc resort to sell out

well, I dont have exact dates, but I bet Doc does.

However, when we looked into DVC in late 2000, there was only OKW and BWV (plus HHI and VB)and no word on WLV. When we got serious in the spring of 2003, the WLV had opened and sold out, OKW was sold out, and BCV were close to selling out.

That's alot of activity in 2 1/2 years.

THe approx date, that they started selling each of the six dvc resorts and how long, it took to sell each of the six dvc resorts out?

also what is the largest of the 5 dvc resorts and smallest in orlando,fl
is this correct?

Boardwalk opened in July 1996, I bought in late 1999, I believe it sold out in late 2000. I was just looking at my old Vacation Magics, VWL opened in November 2000 (points stays January 2001), BCV opened in July 2002. It might be hard to pin down a "sellout" date because they continued to sell add-ons to current members after they shutoff new members. They also reopened sales at OKW and BWV when additional rooms were added (OKW added rooms in 1999 & BWV in 2003).

This is from memory and may be off by a few months here and there:

OKW started sales 10/1991- sold out 1st time fall, 1997. Reopened sales in 1998 (when buildings 62,63,64 became available)- sold out again 11/99. Resort opened, October 1, 1991.

BWV started sales 7/1996 and sold out 11/2000. Reopened sales in spring 2003 for villas used as the sales center. Closed sales again summer, 2003. Resort opened summer, 1996.

VWL- began sales in November, 2000 (after sales had stopped at OKW/BWV)- sold out in Feb, 2002. (Sales to existing members were still active at that time. Reopened sales later when some villas remained in inventory and have since stopped agctive sales again.) Resort opened November 15, 2000, but point reservations were not available until early 2001.

BCV- opened sales 2/2002 (when sales were halted at VWL)- sales halted at BCV summer, 2003. Resort opened July, 2002

SSR- opened sales summer, 2003- ongoing. Resort opens May, 2004.

(VB sales began 1995 when the resort opened- sales ongoing.)

(HH sales began spring 1995- closed summer, 2003- Resort opened March, 1996.)

Kansas, I think this may be the info you wanted on largest and smallest. I copied this from another post a while back and pasted it in a DVC folder I have. You might want to consider printing this stuff out or copying it to a folder, so you will have it when you need it. Sounds like you are busy doing some sort of analysis??

Kansas, Here's some the info on SSR that I copied from a post on this board. Someone else posted all this stuff and I just copied it to my files, so can't guarantee info.

SSR Info

Each building will have 46 villas (there will be 2 GV's included in that total for each building). There will be Studios (355 sq'), 1BR (714 sq'), 2BR (1075 sq') and GV's (2113 sq') in each building.
2BR villas will be both dedicated and lock-off options. There will be interior hallways, but each building will have it's own parking area.

Each building will 24 lock-off 2BR's and 20 dedicated 2BR villas in addition to the 2 GV's. No dedicated Studio or 1BR villas are listed in the POS.

There are 70 possible individual reservations possible for each building on any given night (2GV's, 20 2BR, 24 Studios and 24 1BR villas).

We bought in late January 2002 and I think we got in just under the wire for buying in to VWL. However, I thought there was a month or two then before they started selling BCV. Although it makes more sense that they would have started selling BCV right when they stopped VWL (no where on site to sell for a period of time?). The date February 9 seems familiar, but I'm not sure why-does it have to do with DVC?
