DVC Resort Openings - Smooth or Bumpy?

Greetings!

There's been lots of talk about what some see as the less.smooth.than.expected opening of SSR. I was wondering if any of you who have experienced any other DVC Resort openings have any stories to tell about how well - or poorly - they went.

Both BCV and VWL had issues when they opened. Mostly it was due to staff not accustomed or knowledgeable about how DVC works and the like. VWL seemed to have more problems than BCV.

BWV also had opening problems - so have all the WDW resort opening - the one exception is Pop Century - they used other resort employee - from OKW, Polyn, GF, Cont, BC and Cbr - they didn't use entire new staff.

even with this experience staff - I new better where my room are located than the front desk. they did not know about lady and tramp - I know I can't believe it myself.....It is not on their map....

SSR will be fined - give it a year (probably less).

DVC wants this to be their new Grand resort - and they will do what is necessary to make it be the best ever.
