DVC Reservation viewable on My Disney Vacation

Our July reservations are there. We have 3 seperate reservations because we are paying cash for the weekend nights to conserve on points. The rate that is showing up for us is the 25% DVC discount rate on the villa we have reserved.

Mine isn't there either.
It does show a past or deleted itinerary of our trip in December 2006.
We have had 2 DVC stays since then.

What is the DVC Bounceback rate? I have not heard of that. Since 40% is better than 25%, I am interested...

I haven't followed it closely, but basically, it's for people who were at WDW last year staying in hotels - WHILE they were there, they were offered a "bounce back" deal for a discount on a future WDW trip if they signed up before they went home. The discount differed for different levels of hotel, but I think both deluxe and DVC (not staying on points) were 40% (not positive on this). I may be wrong on some points, but that's the general idea. If you don't already have a bounce back offer, I don't know how you'd get one. It was a special offer to fill rooms in the future.

I'm sure others could explain it a little better. I'm pretty sure it doesn't include DVCers staying on points. They KNOW we'll be back.

Ok, but if we are all on this thread talking about our DVC reservations showing up on the disneyworld.com website, then there is no way that the rates are reflecting a bounceback offer. These DVC reservations were made on points using member services, right? So that would have nothing to do with reservations made at DVC resorts not using points. Right?

Out of curiousity, I checked and our ressie for next March is there. And we owe $4960! :rotfl2: This is kind of neat! I like that I can see it on the WDW site.

I'm one who rents points for my stays at BWV and the trip booked yesterday for me for 3/09 shows under my account, along with my previous 11/07 trip. I totally trust the person I rent from, but it's still reassuring to see my reservation out there in my own name.

Right. That's why it's so weird. None of us knows how or why they got there. Our DVC ressies shouldn't have anything to do with CRO type stuff, and we don't know why they all have different ressie numbers from our DVC ressies - or where the "amount due" comes from. I called MS a couple of days ago, and they don't know, either. So we're all pretty much ignoring that they actually mean anything. It's just sort of an interesting computer glitch. Two different databases seem to be talking to each other - and one is spitting out the wrong info. It doesn't seem to be bothering our actual DVC ressies, though.

Okay, I think I have a handle on this. I just talked to my DIL who works in WDW finance. She doesn't handle the "front end" stuff that CRO works with, but she has an inkling about what's going on. All the computers are due for an upgrade next week and things have been a little "off" while they're getting this done. And in the middle of this, CRO may (I stress "may") be working on a beta structure so that DVC members CAN eventually see their ressies on the disneyworld.com site - and what we're seeing should NOT even be visible to us. And if it's a beta program, it isn't actually doing anything - it's just testing and spitting out info where it shouldn't be seen. None of it has any impact on actual DVC member ressies.

They'll get it ironed out sooner or later, but it sounds like a pretty massive changeover to be put in place. And in the middle of a computer upgrade, to boot. How the CRO and DVC databases talk to each other for tracking inventory sounds like a really complicated thing.

My take on it is - not to worry, it's no big deal. My DIL's one big suggestion is that we DO NOT call CRO. You might risk having your DVC ressie converted to a cash stay (because that's all they know how to do). If MS says your ressie is fine, stick with that - and hang on to your DVC confirmation letter.

I checked my reservations and according to the prices they listed, I've got just under 10 THOUSAND dollars worth of stays booked just this summer. :scared1:

Gotta love that DVC.

Perhaps something is happening with the computers right now as I cannot get in - well, not properly.

I wish I could live inside the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. Starbox

I love this! I've wanted to live there for 30 years.

I'm glad I found this thread!

About 2 weeks ago I went into My Disney Vacation and read "your next Disney vacation is XX days away". I knew it was my OKW DVC reservation, so I thought WTH? There was a link for my June 2008 vacation so I clicked on it and my OKW reservation was there! Different res # (which I understand from having asked MS a question several years ago) and there was nothing about a total cost or balance due and the dates were correct so I knew this was my DVC res.

So now that I've seen this thread, I tried to get back in and when I click on the June 2008 vacation link it says "sorry we are unable to display your vacation details at this time........call (407).......or try again later". :confused3

Oh well! I'm hoping this feature will be available in the future. I really liked it! :goodvibes

That's the same message that I'm getting. It started yesterday :confused3

At first I thought maybe the system was having "issues" but my other room reservations (the ones made thru CRO) all show up no problem. If this was a test we need to tell Disney it worked, we like it and bring it back!! :rotfl:

I have a 10 nt trip in Aug with 3 nts DVC OKW then 2 nts CRO AKL CL then 5 nts DVC AKV.

I have been periodically calling CRO to try to get a AAA rate for my AKL CL nts. When I called today, the CM says "You have a res on Aug 13. Oh and you have one on the 11th. And the 10th." I explained to him that those were my DVC ressie I booked day by day (off the waitlist).

So this CM in CRO was seeing my DVC ressies in his system. Yikes!! :scared:

[AAA rate was not available, but I will keep trying!]

While we are on the subject, my ressie for Nov is there, but does show a balance of $7000 and change, yikes :).

Can someone tell me how to order the custom maps. I know it says click the "order button" but I have yet to locate it..

Thanks

Dana
