Dvc resale and direct combo use

I heard that if you buy a combination of points resale and from DVC directly you can use all of these points for Disney cruises, adventure etc. I know that if you buy resale you can't use the points for cruises and the Disney adventure travels but was told that if you have both there is some kind of loophole? Does anyone know if the is true?

where did you hear that you could use resale pts for cruises?

i've heard the opposite and expect that DVC would have no trouble keeping track of which contracts you purchased resale vs. purchased directly from them.

I have heard the opposite. Direct points can be used, resale not. Separate contracts and easy to track.

Only direct points or resale bought before 2011 can be used for cruises etc.

DVD has no trouble tracking
