DVC-renting points ??

Hello everyone. I am considering renting some points for our next trip. I have a couple of questions. Can DVC get the dining plan? When do I add it? Does it have to be put on at time reservation is made, can I do it when I arrive? Also I thought I read DVC can pool hop but only to certain pools. Which ones? Anything else people think I should know? Thanks for the help.

DVC stays can include the dining plan, and the person who rents to you has to add it at least 48 hours before the trip. It has to be paid for when it is added. You do get ME.

I think you have to be a member to pool hop, that is, you have to have your blue membership card in case it's asked for. There is no hopping allowed to any of the pools at the BC/BCV/YC, BLT's pool, or any of the pools at AKV.

When you rent points, only the member can make the reservation, and make any changes to it. They retain ownership of the reservation, and control of it.

The member can add Magical Express and the dining plan for you. The dining plan has to be added in advance; not necessarily at the time of reservation, but at least 48 hours in advance (I think). You can't add it at check-in. It has to be paid for at the time you add the dining plan to the reservation.

As a renter, you would not be able to pool hop. You get the privileges of staying at a Disney resort (free parking at theme parks, EMH, package delivery, charging to the room, etc), but you don't get member perks (discounts, pool-hopping, etc).
