DVC Renters - What are my chances?

So, I just submitted my reservation request for a studio at BWV. We are 8 months out from our vacation and I just saw that the company I'm renting from recommends 11 months or more to reserve BWV. Any idea what my likelihood is of getting a room? We're going 4/7-4/13.

Normally I would say your chances are very good booking at 8 months, but if my memory serves we correct, that is Easter week which means it will be tougher... but not impossible. Even if you have to go on a waitlist I would think that the waitlist would come through eventually. At least you are only competing with BWV owners at this point and not all DVC members.

Easter Sunday is March 31st. You are booked when Easter break is finishing for most. You never know. Good luck.

I think your chances are excellent.

I think the chances are slim that you would get a standard view studio but you may be able to get a preferred view. We go every year at one of the slowest times of the year and have to book at the 11 month mark to get standard view. We can usually get preferred view as long as we do it before the 7 month mark.

Agreed. I think you have a very good shot at a preferred view, but not a standard view since there are so few of those rooms.

David's Vacation Club are QUICK! I already heard back and I was able to get to studio, standard view at BWV so, for anyone else who might be interested, definitely pursue it.

That's great news! We will be using David for the first time next year. Hoping for a pool/garden view for October 2013.

Can't wait for our first stay at BWV.

I think that the BWV standard view studios are the best value in WDW for renting, so congrats! You will have a great time, I'm sure.
