DVC rental: Written/Online confirmations differ

I rented points from a DVC member over 6 weeks ago and finally got the confirmation letter in the mail today. The problem I'm having is that the online confirmation isn't giving me the same info as the written confirmation. Originally I was booked for an 8 night stay at OKW broken up into 4 different reservations due to availability and waitlisted (in order to not have to switch rooms during our stay). I checked them frequently and 1 out of the four ended up cancelled so I assumed waitlist went through and we wouldn't have to switch rooms. Contacted member and he confirmed through MS that I was correct and that he received new reservation and would send it out to me...several weeks later I finally get it. It does say we have an 8 night stay at OKW in the letter but when I checked this reservation# online it states only 3 nights. Should I feel safe with the written confirmation or should I contact the DVC member (who is very nice and all, but not exactly the easiest to get a hold of or answer questions in a very timely manner). Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!!!

When reservations comprise of different confirmation numbers which are subsequently linked, only the number of nights on the first reservation will show on-line. The confirmation letter, as in your case, will show all nights.

Could you answer one more question for me...I guess this is why I'm a little confused...
Why is it one of the confirmation numbers got cancelled but the other 3 are still active when I look online???

Only the reservation that was replaced by your wait list would show cancelled. Any other reservation you booked from the beginning that is correct, would stay in place.

Unless I misread your post, it sounds like some of those original reservations were what you wanted and only had to wait list part of the trip.

That is correct. My understanding is that there were 4 ressies: A, B, C and D all for a 2 Bedroom at OKW for a total of 8 nights.
A:3 nights
B:1 night
C:1 night (having to check out and back into a new room) and
D:3 nights (checking out and back into original room
(I found this all wacky and didn't quite get it from the beginning but I came to find out that it was because ressie C was in a different booking category in order to secure the 2 bedroom...which I'm assuming probably means Hospitality area)
So now online it shows ressie C is "cancelled" all other ressies are active but the confirmation letter I received was for ressie A and had the 8 consecutive dates on the letter (yet online still shows the 3 original nights)

This is only my second time renting points and last year when waitlisted it didn't seem this crazy and confusing!!! lol

I think my questions have been answered...THANKS GUYS! Just thought clarifying my question may help someone else who may encounter a similar issue.
