DVC rent and free dining option?

I rented DVC points and want to add the dining plan. Is the free dining option available for DVC renters and can I upgrade it for the deluxe plan (obviously paying the difference)???

You cannot add FREE dining, but you can pay for the dining plan of your choice.

No free dining with a DVC reservation. Free dining is available only on a MYW package reservation of at least 3 nights, including at least 2 day park tickets.

You can add any dining plan you want, and pay for it. You are already getting a substantial discount on the room itself just by renting points.

Just wanted to add that you can't add the dining plan yourself. The cost for DVC stays are the same as regular room stays. You'll need the DVC member to call and add it to the reservation for you which means you'll need to pay them.
