Although we LOVE WDW - DH is thrilled to be home this year to watch the series!

We were in WDW during the series last year and it was killing him not knowing what was going on except for an occasional comment from a fellow Red Sox fan. I was told that we will never travel during the month of October again. There seemed to be lots of Red Sox fans staying at BCV when we were.

I really think you're getting way too personal here and it's totally uncalled for. You owe me an apology.

The reason I posted to begin with is that these boards seem to be moderated indiscriminately. For example, not too long ago a thread about elections was deleted (Bush Vs Kerry). The moderators decided it had nothing to do with DVC, hence it was not appropriate. (and yes I posted to the thread but I did not orginate it). If we can't discuss our favorite candidates why is it ok to discuss our favorite BB teams? IMHO they are both equally hot topics with passionate feelings on both sides.

I am a very laid back person usually. Have a look at my other posts, I am far from a curmudgeon. Hey I don't even mind 5 in a 1 BR! I do have a strong sense of fairplay though, and I speak up when I see something that strikes me as wrong.

However the way I approached this issue was all wrong. I should have been direct instead of complaining about the post. I should have made it clear that I was upset about the way the board is moderated. I understand it seemed like an attack to the OP, and for that I will say I am sorry.

my post was anything but personal in nature.....i did not call you a name, or impune your integrity in any way shape or form.....so i most certainly will not apologize.

secondly, we are talking about BASEBALL!!!!.....a kids game....one of my favorite things to do at WDW is go to the espn club and hang out with yankee fans and jet fans....it is a pleasure to know these people and engage in good natured ribbing....maybe its me but your post just seems a bit uptight....sometimes it is nice to escape the endless point usage talk to have a little bit of fun, and the paralell you draw to the presidential election is not valid IMO, because as I stated before it is a game not politics.

people can see from my post who i support for president....i hope people still respect me....the DVC community is stronger because it brings together a cross section of people from all across this country....it is one of the few places that loony liberals like me, can hang out with and have fun with radical right wingers.....you are assuming that this cant happen......have some faith

Well no matter what side you are on, this has been a great series -- just like it is any time these two great teams play one another. They are equally matched and, I believe, the best two teams in baseball. The World Series will just be some more games after this exciting, nail biting, to the end series.

Okay, so who is lucky enough to be able to watch this from the boardwalk at ESPN Club?? How many of you are actually using those valuable points to stay in a room and watch the Red Sox do their thing? I know that if I were, in fact, in my one-bedroom unit at BWVs I would be watching. Does anyone know how good the room service is, since I won't want to miss a single moment of the game? Well, I wouldn't if I were actually there. So, who's there now, watching at 8???
