Dvc & Rci

I just got back from dinner with friends that I haven't seen in 20 years. One of them works for RCI. I mentioned DVC to him and he said:

"Oh yeah, I think I heard that they'll be using our reservation system pretty soon"

Now, he didn't know more than that, and I didn't press him, but I wonder what that means.

Has anyone else heard anything?

It possible, I guess. The original trading company was RCI, then DVC switched to II. I doubt they'll drop II, as they just started shorter stays at some resorts. Maybe they'll do both II and RCI.
