OK- I'll admit it. I have absolutley no idea where to even start when it comes to taking a trip using my DVC outside of WDW.

I need help. Can someone please explain to me how I go about doing this?? For instance.... if I want to change in some points to stay in hawaii, how would I do it??

I would call member services and ask them to search all of the RCI properties that are available for Hawaii and let them know what week preferbly month you would like to book since this would give them more flexibility.

Also I would call as soon as you know when you want to travel even if that means 2 yrs ahead of time.

Good Luck:goodvibes

IMO, the place to start is with the DVC information. Look at the CC and RCI to see what's offered and get an idea of the cost. My comments after this will pertain to RCI and other timeshare trading only. Decide what island(s) you want to visit and see if there are resorts on the DVC RCI list that interest you. If so, call and see if available but you'll almost certainly have to put in an ongoing request to have a chance of success. Don't forget about private exchanges and the independent timeshare exchange companies which will potentially give you access to other resort that might interest you and other inventory for the resorts on your list.
