I am starting to research the whole DVC thing and crunching numbers. My question is when you make a reservation or bank points for later use, is there a fee. I have a timeshare and a membership through RCI. As most with timeshares know they charge when I make a reservation for a deposited week.
While many other timeshares do charge fees for certain things such as banking or exchanging (within their own resorts), DVC has absolutely no fees at all for using points within the DVC resorts or Disney hotels.
You can do any of the following, with no fees:
Make a reservation at any DVC resort whether it's your home resort or not.
Bank Points
Borrow Points
Transfer Points
Waitlist a reservation
Cancel a reservation
Modify a reservation
Change DVC points into reservation points and reserve a room at a Disney hotel, Disneyland hotel, Paris or Hong Kong Disney hotels.
