DVC Purchase

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing 250 point DVC contract from the Timeshare Store. We will be receiving a total of 500 points initially (250 banked from 2003 and 250 received on 10-1-04) Our plan was to rent the first 500 points to help offset the cost of the timeshare. We would still be able to start our vacations in Oct. 2005. Now I just noticed on the Rent/Trade board that you can't RENT banked points. What does that mean. Will I be able to book a room for someone for the banked points? We are now in a panic because we thought that we could get rid of the first 500 points. Our home resort is OKW. Please someone - HELP!!!

you will renting a reservation not points.

a renter unless they are DVC member can't do anything with points.

I don't think you can transfer banked or borrowed points to another DVC member - that is the problem.

so if any DVC member wanted you to transfer into their account - you can't do this with banked points.

so just deal with the people who want you to make their reservations and you shouldn't have problems.
