I own six weeks of non-Disney timeshares. Each time I bought, I received wonderful "gifts" for sitting through the presentation. :thumbsup2 Are there any treats offered to guests sitting through the presentations at WDW?

Usually nothing. Sometimes a free meal, sometimes a few fastpasses. DVC is not a presentation you go to for the swag.

Seems like the other companies need to offer gifts to get people to attend their presentations. All DVC has to offer is Disney World. :confused3 Guess I know now why the others have to offer gifts.

My wife and i sat throught the presentation last week. we decided to buy, we are just not sure when. For us, it was nice to have an hour or two to tour the resort with out our little ones. They did give us fast passes for attending. Each of us got a card with 3 fast passes. my kids dont ride the big rides so my wife and i used them. it was great. they are immediate fast passes and allow you to jump on any fast pass ride with out waiting. My wife did expidition everest and she was gone a total of 10 minutes to ride the ride. we also used them for the safari and were escorted right on. we new we were going to by so getting the fast passes was just great. we were also treated to ice cream with our little ones after the presentation.

I was able to "pocket" the two Walt Disney World pens that the Mrs. and I signed the contracts with.;)

We did not buy or sign any papers that day, but our kiddies were offered ice cream at the ice cream parlor and we got a $50 Disney gift card. That was just this past March.

The biggest "gift" for us was the no pressure just the facts presentation- We had done a couple of high pressure ones before doing the one at Disney and almost didn't do it for that very reason (got "free" airline tickets for those if you booked your room through their travel agent). The tickets were great but the presentation was uncomfortable to say the least. With DVC we didn't get anything except our questions answered in a non pressure way. We purchased less than an hour after taking the literature outside to the Big River Grill and reading it over a beer, after talking with our guide. This was 1997 and I don't know if they did any other gifts then. I have since bought two more contracts over the phone. DVC is the best thing I have ever done with money for creating so many happy family memories.

This is what the offer was when we were in WDW May 18-24. We didn't have enough time to go for the tour and shpiel there, however. I gave them our info at the kiosk at our hotel and then called as soon as I got home and got the info sent to me. Still waiting for the final word on whether we were able to purchase the 200 BWV that were available Friday when I talked to customer service there. :bitelip:

That is also exactly what we experienced and received the first week of April. :)

last august my wife and i toured the marriott, star island and disney.

we were offered an extra 90000 points if we signed that day at the Marriott,
enough points for 4 tickets to Hawaii???.

at Star Island we were offered 30% off if we signed that day

when we toured Disney i told them want the others offered and ask the tour guide what could he offer us and he said " we are Disney we do not have to offer anything".

needless to say we purchased Disney, because it's Disney and our first trip home if the August to SSR.

oh by the way we did receive 4 fastpasses

When we did it in March, they offered us the fast pass or 50.00 gift card option. We chose the gift card.

They also gave my dd's about 100 stickers which kept them busy sticking them all over each other while we were talking at the Kiosk at the back of the World Showcase.

The best part! The part that really tipped me....the offered us an AIR CONDITIONED VAN RIDE from the back of the World Showcase to the SSR touring site (the van had age-appropriate car seats)!! I can't tell you what a treat this was on the last day of a 10 day trip with two hot, tired, hungry, bored with my parents after a week little ones! It was like being in Cinderella's carriage!

During the tour/presentation, my daughters went to the playroom and had a blast having personal attention lavished on them. We ended the tour with ice cream for all and a ride back to the Poly for dinner.

Funny...how the little things counted the most!

BTW- They also gave us the 2005 UY points when we finally bought!

First trip "home" is in two weeks!

We received the $50.00 gift card and 2 fast passes for the ones I gave up at ToT (my favorite ride) and absolutely no pressure to buy from Marshall, our guide. We didn't buy through WDW though, we bought resale (at BCV). But I really liked Marshall as our guide. I felt like I'd known him forever for some reason. He was the perfect guide for us and maybe we'll be able to add on through him...

:cool1: Hi Like lots of you have said already we think the best gift we got was the gift of Walt Disney World. However, we did get free ice cream and a voucher for luch at a variety of places, we chose Beaches and Cream. When we signed up we got a bag and more ice cream, also a print of the Saratoga

You sir, drive a hard bargin ;).

I sat throught the presentation a few years ago when it was at BWV. I we received a free bag of cotton candy! :rotfl2: Oh, and a few meal vouchers!

We signed up for the BWV tour in July 2003 after a promise of a lunch voucher.
Did the tour on the day we checked out of the Swan, DW wanted to sign before we left the model, I said whoa (but knew we would buy).
We walked around the lake and used the voucher at Beaches and Cream, then bought at the BWV after we thought it through on the way home (They were offering BWV, BCV, and VWL.
After signing we were sent a back pack and a print of the Boardwalk.

A few weeks after we sent our info back they announced SSR and 50 yrs. I called and asked why didn't they tell us this, guide said they had to wait but I could change my contract if I wanted. I thanked him, but said no we love the Boardwalk.. No regrets.

Some people got gift certificates and/or free meals! Wow! The first time we bought we got two fast passes (one for me and one for the wife) the second time they were out of fast passes so all we got was free coffee. :sad2: However, the first time we bought 250 Boardwalk points and the second time they were out of Boardwalk so we had to settle for 250 Beach Club points. :rotfl2: We have never regretted missing the freebies. Each child got 500 points for a honeymoon.
