Hi there,
We loved going to the DVC sales presentation on board before COVID. We would watch the 45 minute group presentation, get some free bottled water, and then go to the individual sales pitch to get our 50 on board credit. Typically we would just say we are not interested in the first minute and they would give us our 50 dollars right then without having to stay the full 30 minutes for the pitch.
When we cruised post-COVID they removed these from the itinerary. I was wondering if they were back? That 50 dollars comes in handy and for us is worth the 46 minutes of our time.

There was one on my wife and I's 7 night Fantasy sailing in March. Didn't even have to attend the individual sales pitch; there was just a board with time slots to sign up for as you left. Scanned the KTTW card, listened to the 30 minute spiel and left. $50 OBC was loaded to the onboard account the next morning.

That is awesome! Pays for our drinks one night - definitely worth it!

On the EBTA we sat in the D Lounge, watched a short movie and they had times to sit down one on one...didn't have to go though...everyone got the $50 OBC!! 🙂 They just scanned our card/took our room number...and the next day, the credit was there!

We'll have to look into this in Oct. Back in 2012 while sailing on the Fantasy, our friends that we were cruising with met up with us on the deck to say their name was chosen during a DVC presentation to win a $300 OBC. It was their 1st Disney cruise and we were the experienced cruisers but we had no idea it was possible. So we attended a presentation also and we too won a $300 OBC. :cool1: We got some massages and facials, something we'd never splurge on. I would have much rather put it as a deposit on another cruise but hey, it's free OBC.

I have gone to this presentation (pre-Covid) 18 times and have never won that 300 OBC raffle. There were two presentations that there were only 4 of us in the raffle. Still never won. I kept figuring one of these times I would win...at least I got the free bottles of water and then the later 50 OBC for sitting thru the 1:1 pitch :)

Question: does my spouse have to be there also to qualify? I’ve been turned away at these types of things before because he was not with me. 😬

You've been turned away at a DVC presentation or some other sketchy time-share presentation? I've not had to have my spouse with me previously for DVC. It's not really the standard time-share hard-sell-sign-now situation.

Super Expensive Turtle Bay Resort on Oauhu turned me away from v their presentation because husband was not with me. I’ve never gone to a DVC presentation, yet 🙃

Ah. Yeah, well, Disney treats you like a grown-*** adult that can have a conversation with your spouse about what you learned. My DH wasn't interested in going but was interested in it. If they had required him to be at the presentation, we would have never bought because he wouldn't have gone. I don't know why some time-share presentations are that way but it probably hurts them!
