Hi all, I'm back on here after many absent years seeking advice please. Will keep this as brief as possible. Live in Australia. Stayed with my wife at WDW for 7 days in 1983 as 27yo's. Then took our 3 kids there in 1999 and stayed for another 15 days. Eldest daughter of those three got married in 2014 and went back to WDW as part of their honeymoon for another 7 days. She is now in pre-planning phase to take her three sons (will be 9, 7 & 3) there (plus us two oldies to tag along so 7 in total 4A 3K) probably in 2024 some time. We have been able to rent DVC points in the past and I'm a bit out of touch with it all but wondering if that is still possible for both WDW and then Aulani to break up our travel on the way back home. Was thinking around 7-10 days WDW and say 4-5 days Aulani. I believe there may be 2 bedroom villas that would accommodate the 7 of us in Aulani but not sure about WDW. That may need to be 2 rooms in Art of Animation or similar if DVC not available?
Can anyone please give us some insight or thoughts on the DVC rentals please and any other tips that might help us with this plan. Thank you, Dean

Yes you can rent 2bdrm at both locations. Great rental board on here with great members,,,,or there are rental companies, some that are sponsors here that can link you up with members renting.
Good luck and enjoy.

You can fit that group in a 2BR, but it is worth thinking about how you would do that, because someone has to use the living room as sleeping spaces.

I would also look at renting a whole house in area. Cheaper and more room/privacy.
100's of houses are owned by British families that rent them out.

I was thinking the same thing. A house would give each adult pair their own room plus another room or two for the kids. Another option would be a 3BR villa at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

If the OP really wants to stay on property, a 2BR would work too. Perhaps even a Treehouse Villa at SSR but one child would still be out in the living room.

Thank you. That suggestion sounds good. Is it just a matter of Googling or is there a specific website that you may know of. Cheers and thanks again

I've rented both a 3BR townhome and a 5BR pool home at Windsor Hills--this was back in the day so I have no idea what current prices would be, but both were very fair values and great vacation experiences.

You can google DVC rentals and get lots of options. Deluxe resorts and deluxe villas do get two extended hours at MK and Epcot on certain days, so that might be attractive over Art of Animation.
I suggest looking at Saratoga Springs as it will be the most likely to have something open and depending on when you travel you might get a 3 bedroom grand villa. If you go for the 2 bedroom the new redone rooms have sofa/murphy bed which are so much better than sofa beds.
Old Key West villas are the largest but you will get a sofa bed in the living room not a murphy pull down bed. Bay Lake Towers and Kidani Village have 3 bathrooms in the 2 bedroom villas which is really nice to have.
