DVC points for rent to Canadians

Due to my DH getting laid off our Disney vacation plans have taken a back seat. We are planning on renting out our DVC points, but thought we would give the first crack at it to a Canadian. Hi! I have never done DVC points before. How many do you need to book a room? When you use DVC can you still get the promos that are on?

The accomodation can vary from a studio all the way to a 3 bedroom villa. The price would be just for the accomodations.

For anyone contemplating this, go for it. I have now rented points twice and it can be simple and saves a ton of money. I got BLT in March 2010 for $220/night and just booked BCV (through these forums) for March as well for much less than Disney charges.
IMHO, it is a win-win situation for both parties...someone needs to get rid of their points and someone gets deluxe accommodations at a savings.
