DVC points for other Disney hotels

Can DVC points be used to pay for other Disney hotels. My youngest son really wants to stay at Art of Animation, but I hate to pay to stay there if we can use our DVC. Thanks for any advice or help

Yes you can, not sure about that particular resort but the exchange rate for what you get is not worth it IMO plus you have to pay the $95 fee they charge exchanges. I would pay for cash especially at a value resort, my kids want to stay there too but I so far I just told them sorry.

nothing available for value hotels so far. mods start at 17 pts per night up to 38 pts per night.

I don't think the value resorts were ever offered for points, only moderates and up.

Only moderate and deluxe resorts with no DVC attached. So now CR is out and soon GF will be out as well. No BC, no BWI, no WL, no AKL. For deluxe resorts that leaves Polynesian and YC.

But no AoA.
