DVC points for Alaska

FYI Lynn just off the phone with MS, learned points should be available Monday Morn, MS said no point chart but a calculator??? something different, we will see....

Monday morning is when the Castaway Club Gold and Platinum members can book the AK cruises. I am guessing with all the changes in room categories, they are unable to pull together a chart. Probably there are different points requirements for the various dates (May/June probably less) and coupled with the numerous new categories, it probably will be quite a large chart...

Just wish they came out before the first booking. Phones will be really tied up I am sure...

Called MS at 11:000 eastern as we left Denver at 8:00 eastern, on hold for 30 min or so, got our B2B La to Vancouver cruise and 1st AK cruise booed Points for a Cat 7a were 294 fr the LA to Vancouver and then 580 fro the 1st AK cruise.

No way my DH can get enought time off to do B2B. DH, DD age 10 and I are looking at joining you for the 1st Alaska. How many in your cabin for 580 pts, any at the kid rates? Did you check points on any other Categories? We just got back from 7-day Western on the agic, so I may have to rent some point or pay cash for one of us?

Have you seen points posted anywhere yet?

Points charts are not ready yet and the DVC CM's are using a point calculator for the phone calls.

I think Scott probably booked for himself and DW - 2 adults only.

BTW, renting points to cruise with is not a good idea. You would do far better to book direct with DCL for cash in that case...
