DVC Point Cost for Cat. 3

Anyone know the point cost for a Cat.3 cabin on Jan. 10th? (2 adults and 3 children 5,3 and 9.) I sure would appreciate the info since ms is closed on the weekend and I can't find anything in print on the member website.

I believe that you cannot use points for categories 1,2 or 3. In any case, you are talking a boatload of points! We just cruised on points for 2 adults and 2 children and paid cash for my youngest since we needed a cat. 4--our BWV points are gone through 2004, and most of our VWL as well.
If you decide to use points rest assured that the category 4 rooms are very nice.

It is a boatload of points - that much I do know! You can cruise only Cat. 3 on points and that is something fairly recent, I believe. That is why there is nothing in print. Anyone have any idea? Rock'n Robin I did the same thing and plan on going into "borrow mode" for awhile.

Catagory 3

1st & 2nd passenger: 474 each
3rd/4th/5th ages 13 & up: 137 each
3rd/4th/5th ages 6-12: 111 each
3rd/4th/5th ages 3-5: 109 each
3rd/4th/5th age 2 & under: 22 each


Like stated above, that's a boatload of points! You are much better off going with 2 connecting cabins.

I just checked to website and you're right, they don't list the cat. 3 (not that I doubted you!) I printed the charts off when they first came out (don't remember exactly when) and the cat. 3 was on it.

We also looked at the possibility of using the points for the cat 3, but decided we'd be much better off paying cash for the cruise (reguardless of category). Now, I don't even see paying that much for a cat 3 right now, but maybe someday (slowly starting to save).
