I received an email about taking a 20 minute phone tour for the Disney Vacation Club. The email said if I participate I'd receive a free $25 disney gift card. Seems like an easy $25 to me, but I've never participated in one of these before. Has anyone done one before and would it be worth it for $25?

I haven't done the phone but I've done the in person. If you don't mind going on the DVC email list and possibly receiving a call back once or twice then go for it. You'll have to at least act like you are interested in purchasing DVC though.

We did the onsite tour and received a $100 GC. We knew we weren't going to purchase DVC at that point but we were really interested in seeing how DVC worked and getting a tour of the rooms. They called us twice after and sent a few follow up letters in the mail. It was no big deal. They were never pushy at all.

I've done the phone tour. Totally worth it for the gift card. I literally takes about 10 minutes. You log onto the website and the person on the phone has you click around at a few things, asks if you have any questions and they Fed-Ex you a gift card. I've done it twice. Once for a $25 card and another time they offered a $40 card.

Awesome. Thank you guys so much for the feedback! I didn't really want to do it if they were really pushy. We were offered to do one when we arrived for our last vacation for a $50 gc, but since we weren't allowed to take the kids we didn't bother with that one. I figure a phone tour wouldn't be so bad, but wasn't sure what to expect.

Thanks! I'm planning on doing this tonight after the kids go to bed.

Yup, I did it too. Nice way to earn $25 for the trip. I was actually pretty interested, but because we live far away, I just can't convince myself. If we lived in reasonable driving distance, I think I would have said yes.

We did the onsite tour on our last trip. Even though kids aren't allowed for the presentation, they were allowed in the onsite kids club for free during the time we were at the presentation. This was at Saratoga Springs.

I got that email earlier in the year and decided to do it since we have a Disney trip coming up. I did the "tour" the first part of Jan and I never received my $25 gc. I was told I would have it in 30 days. 30 days have come and went and still no card. So you may or may not get what they are offering you.
