DVC Perks/Discount Question

Hi - I was wondering if we DVCers get a discount on the Illuminations Cruise? I looked on the website & didn't see it - just hoping I missed it!

I looked in the handout they gave when checking in and it is not mentioned as getting a DVC discount.

I don't believe so. They don't offer discounts on meals/activities that are difficult to get.

Nope. We went on an Illuminations cruise Christmas night, and I asked when I paid if there were any discounts available. I had my DVC member card, Disney Visa, and annual pass, and I was 0 for 3.

Guess what, when I went to pay for the cruise they asked if I was a DVC Member & since I had my card with me they gave me a 10% discount! They said this was new, but did not say if it was a permanent perk.

Wonderful! During my trip this time, I asked everywhere about a discount. I didn't realize we got 15% of merchandise at Rainforest Cafe so it was a welcome surprise!

Me, too! We did an Illuminations cruise on 8/14. The CM actually asked me if I was a DVC member or AP holder. We are both. He said DVC members get 10% off and AP holders 15%. We gladly took the 15%! The last Illuminations cruise we did before this one was on 12/25/10, and I specifically asked for discounts and was told no. Here's hoping this is around for awhile!
