Dvc parking

Hi we are coming end of April into May, traveling with my parents and staying under there reservation which they used DVC points, they aren't renting a car but we will since there getting the accommodations, will we be able to use their free parking?? Also is this something we need to reserve ahead of time or at check in

Free parking for DVC members (and their guests) staying on points is automatic. Nothing special to do.

Let them know you have a car when they check-in. They'll print out a parking slip for the car.

I don't recall needing a parking slip at Aulani.

They do print them out and we actually needed it on occasion to get the parking attendant to open the gate. In our case, we had reservations using pts from different contracts. This required new room keys to be printed for part of our stay and impacted the room key activation getting in and out of the garage.

Must have been a real busy day or they had something going on in the conference rooms. Been staying at Aulani over July 4th, Christmas and New years weeks and have not seen an attendant at the entrance to the garage. We always just used our room key to enter.

To the op, if you are using dvc points, you are allowed 2 vehicles with free parking.

Agreed. There is no attendant for the general parking garage.

As you can see, I'm not big on semantics - it was a CM graciously assuming the role of garage gate operator for that particular moment. keys weren't working. gate arm wouldn't lift. And it was Thanksgiving weekend so yes, very busy.

Sounds like a unique situation due to the technical difficulties. Under normal circumstances, there are no parking vouchers/tags and no parking garage attendant. You just insert your room key and the parking garage gate goes up. If your reservation is booked under DVC points, you will not be charged.
