DVC Parking Permit?

I just read in another post, about a DVC Parking Permit? Am I supposed to have one of these?

Th eonly one i am aware of is the one you get when checking into a resort. It is ually stamped "member" or DVC member on it. Anyone else?

I agree. You get one when you check in. It says that you are a member and your dates of stay.

With the pass, can you go and "resort hop" to check out other resorts like AKL, Poly and GF without paying to park? I will be staying at VWL with a car.

We just got back from OKW yesterday. The parking permit is the same as other resorts except on the top it says "Member Parking Permit" rather than just "Parking Permit". They give it to you at check-in and it has your check-out date printed on it. No resorts charge to park, but they all have guards and can ask why you are there. We were waived through at BW and AKL, no questions asked. We did park at the Poly yesterday morning and were given a 3 hour parking permit. If you just want to check-out the resorts, just tell the guard and they should let you in. The only problem you may have is AKL, sometimes they restrict parking to those with PS. At the theme park parking lots, they just waive you through, there is no charge to park.
