I'm getting the hankering to take a quick 3-4 day trip to WDW sometime in May.

Any word on any DVC (or AP) discounts for a value in May? I've seen an $82 rate code for the general public, but nothing specific for DVC (or AP).

Anyone know anything?

There are never DVC discounts at any non-DVC resorts. AP discounts may be available, bu you'll need to contact Disney Travel/CRO. $82 isn't a bad rate for a value resort, though I have gotten cheaper AP rates, but sometimes I've had to pay more than $82.

I always get confused with the discounts (between AAA, AP, DVC, Disney Vise, etc.)

I might be mistaken, but I sort of remember hearing that DVC (maybe it was AP) guarantees you the "best advertised rate" at any WDW resort. Or, perhaps that was offered at some point prior and no longer available? Or, I could just be having a "senior moment".

That was an AP thing, best rate available. I think it has been discontinued, as it really didn't work that great. You had to sign up and pay a deposit, then if the public rate (not a private code rate) dropped, your rate was adjusted. Since there are few "public" discounts, it was really not working.

Thanks, Chuck!

If anyone knew, I knew you would!

You need a PhD to keep track of all the various discounts and programs :faint:
