We attended the DVC talk while we were on the Wonder last week and this is the offer they were giving...

It was for AKV...
1) March UY, double points
2) Pro-rated dues for this year and no dues on the 2009 points
3) Disney picks up most of the closing cost
4) Cash credit off of $112 per point. So, 160-219 points, $15 credit per point, 220-319, $17; 320 + $19.

For example, if you buy 160 pts, you would get $2400 in credit, and 240 points to use now, plus most of the closing cost covered.

Is this a good deal?

Thats the same offer they have for non cruise people, oh well.

I didn't get any of these deals except 2009's points??? I am pretty sure he told me $120 for BLT and nothing about any dues discounts.

What does March UY mean?

BLT's discount was only $5 per point.

OK got it, I just called my guide and he said "Oh yeah definitley, you are getting that". It was definitley not mentioned before, but I'm just happy I'm getting it!

With the no closing costs its no closing costs for current members. I'm not sure if orginal poster is a member or if they are going to become one. If they arent a new member, pretty good deal then.

Query to OP: What did they mean by "most of the closing costs"? Did they give an amount or estimate that you had to pay?

I just looked at my contract and it looks like Disney picked up a little more than half of the closing costs.

So, from the replies, it doesn't look like it's an exceptional deal? The guide said that the deals on the cruise were always better than the ones you can get on land. Maybe he was just saying that.
