DVC OKW RORF or ROFR Passed

Hey are there any updates for this year on the OKW resales that have passed. It does not appear the database has any new entries. I submitted a contract and hoping that it does not get RORF or ROFR... Why is my agent upset if I buy directly from Disney. Is it simply because of the loss of commission. Really the overall cost is not much. I am not planning on selling my points or making money. It is a nice way to get to Disney and other vacation spots.

My guide from DVC is Nikki. However, the resale is with a timesale company. The person got upset with me saying I was going to pay too much with Disney. However, you get the points upfront and immediately. With OKW, the overall cost is not that much more than to buy it as a resale, after adding up all the costs. I was wondering if others felt the same way. Now, that I hear Disney offers deals on points.. that is really good. When I called Nikki she told me that HHI was going for a discount of 5 dollars.

Is there a better (low season) for buying the properties. In real estate Jan/Feb is the worst time of the year for selling houses... also cars. This is typically when you get the best deals. Is that true for DVC timeshares???

Yes, I am trying to get the best price.. but without losing a deal. I want to book my vacation. I guess I need to experience the Disney ROFR process, hopefully with a positive outcome.

Correct, if you want less than 150 points, you have to buy through the resale market (another company).

Disney does resale, in the sense that you can buy the soldout resorts through Disney, but you'd still need your first contract to be at least 150 points.
