Hello

I just bought at AKV. So excited! Anyway, I already have a non DVC trip planned for September. I am also hoping to have my first stay home at Kidani in May. :) I am thinking about buying an annual pass as DH and I usually get parkhopper and we know that we will have 2 trips in one calendar year. does that make sense?

also, if we get the AP can we get dining? i think i read on here that DVC members can get the dining package. we will be official members but will not be on a dvc trip per se.

Thanks!

Congrats & Welcome Home!

APs: You can get the APs discounted as members, regardless of where you are staying, online through the DVC Member website.

DDP: For DVC bookings (including cash-discounted DVC resort bookings), you book DDP through Member Services. For non-DVC reservations, you book DDP through the regular dining number. Either way, it must be done no less than 48 hours prior to check-in - and you pay for it in full at check-in.

Just a quick look but if you are doing more than 8 days in the 2 visits and want park hopper then the AP would be better, even without any of the other benefits like DDE and discounts.

If are doing free dining package in August/September it might complicate things. I do not know if you need MYW tickets or not for this. I would call to check if this is the case. You might be able to upgrade your tickets in this case to DVC AP when you arrive. If this were the case I would call to check on this also.

APs are also eligible for DDP with CRO onsite stays.
