Ever? Imagine me sighing loudly and praying. :rotfl2:

What were the reasons that they dropped it way back? Because of the sales of HH and VB? Did they actually have a site chosen?

So heavenly it would be. The best city. :worship:

Never knew NY was ever a project. I don't think it would be a good one either.

Do you mean State of NY or New York City? Disney proposed a resort in the Washington DC area (National Harbor) but it was scrapped. Saratoga Springs is modeled after upstate NY. I doubt DVC would be interested in a cold climate spot.

Rumor is that Disney had an option on some space in Times Square in the early-90s. Eisner reportedly got cold feet over the project and it just never happened.

This was before the Times Square area was cleaned up, Disney's Broadway shows really took off, and yes it came after disappointing sales of Vero and Hilton Head.

Check out Yesterland.com and Jim Hill's site for info on this project and other DVCs that never panned-out.

Debbie - yes absolutely NYC - I had DVC-NYC as the title but the DIS kept blocking the caps on both and it looked strange.

Yep this one.

Thanks. I will check it out. I would have loved it. One can dream.

I think there should be dvc resorts all over the place:: my parents own several timeshares but none have anywhere near the service if dvc. Problem is I don't want to go to Orlando all the time. Especially in the summer - so we end up in crap timeshares but in great locations!!!

I would have bought one in Beaver Creek for sure!!! One of my favorite places in the world! (After WDW of course! )

The DVC service is expensive. Would there be enough people willing to pay around $150 per point for these locations? They are only going to build if they are going to be able to sell the points in a reasonable amount of time. HH and VB took a long time.
