DVC Mixers???

HI!!! I just read on the DVC site about DVC parties they have at Pleasure Island and at Boardwalk. Does anyone have any details??? Is it worth a trip?? Does it cost money?? Thanks for any info!!!

Doesn't cost anything, and we have really enjoyed them, but they don't warrant a special trip unless you happen to live nearby. Just enjoy them if you are down there at the right time.

We just returned from a 10 day BCV stay. We read about the block party online but gate up on it when we found nothing in our welcome kit, and no sign for it (there was a sign for the Wednesday event at Atlantic Dance.)

We went over at 6:30 and found it was in fact going on - and a big deal - not sure how everyone else found out about it.

Everyone attending got a light up DVC pin and a DVC visor... free admission to PI for the rest of the night. A coupon book with a form to enter the drawings, coupons for 2 snacks (ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy.) Free lemonade and fruit punch (in the nice plastic cups that were souvenirs for many of us.)

Games and activities... dancing... quite a lot of fun.
